Onverto takes your privacy seriously. This Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. Data We Collect
We collect: your phone number (for authentication and notifications); your full name and national ID photograph (for buyer verification); your business name, social media links, and product photos (for seller profiles); order information including delivery address and phone number; device and usage data for security and analytics.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to: verify your identity as a seller or buyer; enable the order and review system; send order notifications and OTP codes via WhatsApp; calculate trust scores and badge tiers; resolve disputes; and comply with Lebanese legal requirements.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: (a) our infrastructure providers (AWS, Railway, Vercel) under appropriate data processing agreements; (b) our communications provider for WhatsApp notifications; (c) law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by Lebanese law.
4. ID Documents
ID photographs submitted for KYC verification are stored securely on AWS S3 with restricted access. They are reviewed only by authorised Onverto administrators for the sole purpose of identity verification and are not shared with any third party.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Verification documents are retained for 3 years after account closure to satisfy Lebanese anti-fraud obligations. You may request deletion of non-essential data by contacting us.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact support@onverto.co. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed authentication tokens, and restricted access controls. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
8. Children
Onverto is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via WhatsApp. Continued use of Onverto after changes constitutes acceptance.
